Fairy Dee the legend behind the myth.
After completing both a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Art & Design and a Diploma of Education, Fairy Dee spent many years teaching Art at secondary schools. Leaving teaching to have her first baby, a pixie boy, she then opened her own gallery. On the opening of her gallery, she met the amazing Anne Atkins – the creator of the Original Fairy Shop – “Wonderwings” (in Richmond).
Fairy Dee joined the magic of Wonderwings, working there for five years, before venturing into the dream of starting her own piece of fairy land closer to home which became Myths and Legends in 1993. Soon after she had her second baby, a fairy girl who now runs fairy land alongside her fairy mother.
My dreams came true
Fairy Dee has been working with children for over 30 years teaching and entertaining. Working in fairy land is a dream come true and she wishes to share the magic with every child and adult, giving lifelong memories to all who visit. The most rewarding role for Dee is being a fairy.
